Creative Christmas Crafting: 3 DIY Ideas for some Festive Fun
The Christmas season is a perfect time to fill your home with creativity and craftiness. From personalising decorations to adding a unique touch to your gifts—here are three Christmas crafting ideas that will bring an extra bit of joy to your celebrations.
Paint Your Own Baubles:
Transform plain baubles into unique works of art that add a personal touch to your Christmas tree. Use clear or white baubles as your canvas, and gather acrylic paints and glitter to create festive scenes, simple patterns, or even a family members name. We took inspiration from our Merry and Bright Christmas card to create a colourful star design.
It’s a great activity for kids (and adults)—and once dried, these personalised baubles can become cherished decorations for years to come.
Decorate Your Own Envelopes:
Make the unwrapping experience even more delightful by crafting beautifully decorated envelopes for your Christmas cards. Use colourful markers, stamps, washi tape and paints to personalise each envelope by adding drawings, festive patterns, or heartfelt messages.
Decorating envelopes not only adds a special touch to your greetings, but also shows the recipient that you’ve put thought and care into each card.
Make Your Own Gift Wrap:
Elevate your gift-giving game by creating custom gift wraps. Start with plain brown or white paper and let your imagination run wild. We used our Snow Leopard range as inspiration to create a simple spotty wrap with contrasting tartan gift tag. You could create festive motifs, personalised messages or hand-drawn patterns that compliment your tree.
These DIY Christmas crafting ideas are a chance to spark creativity and add a personal touch to your Christmas traditions. So, gather your crafting supplies, turn up the festive tunes, pour a glass of spiced hot chocolate (or mulled wine!) and let the creativity flow!
