Fun, fierce and fabulous – celebrating our talented collaborator, Kendra Dandy, and the dazzling range of cards she’s created exclusively for Kindred.

To say that we were excited here at Kindred HQ when international artist Kendra Dandy agreed to release an exclusive range of greetings cards for us as part of her Bouffants & Broken Hearts brand, is a bit of an understatement!

As creatives, we’ve followed and admired Kendra’s work for years. Kendra launched her Bouffants & Broken Hearts brand almost 10 years ago after discovering her passion for surface patterns. Each unique piece of artwork showcases clashing colours, bold statements and whimsical illustrations that radiate attitude, empowerment, and self-expression – from lip-smacking leopards to dreamy tropical scenes. 

You can own your own Bouffants artwork as a conventional print, a phone case, a mug, or now, as an A5 greetings card!

Philadelphia-born Kendra specialises in both traditional and digital painting, experimenting with different art mediums such as printmaking, painting, drawing, and collage to add an innovative flair to her creations, and capture the imagination of her loyal followers – particularly across her social channels.

Like us, Kendra is also passionate about acknowledging and celebrating the artist behind the work, particularly less established creatives, and giving them the recognition they deserve. As a victim of her artwork being used without being credited to her, Kendra set up the American Influencer Council, which advocates for the rights of digital creatives, while encouraging better education on creator copyrights. 

As the Bouffants brand has grown, so has Kendra’s list of high-profile collaborators, which includes Anthropologie, Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder, and now Kindred of course! 

Kendra’s ethos and artistic approach mirror our own, and her youthful designs are a superb addition to Kindred’s growing portfolio. Their beauty and boldness translate seamlessly to a greetings card format – offering unique ways to celebrate a special person or occasion.

It’s no surprise that Kendra’s designs were recently shortlisted at The Henries Awards – the ultimate accolades in greeting card publishing – for Best Diversity and Inclusion Range!

And it seems that Kendra is pretty excited to be working with us too. When asked about the new range, she said:

“I’m really pleased to see that UK Greetings is developing a range of cards featuring my Bouffants & Broken Hearts brand. I love to think people are sending their friends and family members cards with my designs on.”
